My name is Vera Lawlor and I am a seasoned freelance writer with experience writing for newspapers, magazines and websites. My special area of interest is pets and animal welfare and protection. I was the Pet Columnist for The Parent Paper (now 201 Family) magazine for more than 15 years and also wrote pet and animal welfare articles for The Record newspaper, The Animal Companion and Bone-A-Fide Mutts magazines, as well as for PetPlanet.com.
